First time

yoz~! You all are not alone. I've joined in to blog as well. Let me talk about my first time......
Bascially, this is my first time using blogger.com. hm... I guess it's much better than diaryland.
Okay, my first day to SAC was a rather dreadful day. I didn't want to go SAC coz non of my pri sch friends were there and heard that SAC was a lesbian school.
My first orientation experience in SAC too. Although orientations were tiring, I also must admit that they were really enriching. CCA orientation! I think that few hours was really more than enough. That's becoz by the end of it, I was sort of in a confused state, thinking about which CCA to choose and whatever the seniors had said to publicise their CCA.
I made my decision! CO was my number 1 choice! This began a wonderful journey of a life time...
My first encouter with the BOOs was a short one coz we went for the class camp. In the end, the people from 1.5 didn't get to choose the instrument until the very later part. It was this delay that allowed me to meet Yan Ru for the very first time. Basically she was persuading people to join percussion. Well, she left an impression in me but I wasn't attracted to it. hee! This led to my first encounter with erhu and Mr Lee. I can say I can't remember much coz it's a rather boring experience lah! hahaha! After that came the days when I had the interactions with a special person who always live in my heart since then.
The learning journey went on for some time and finally the erhu juniors got 'promoted'. We joined the da zhu and occupy the very very small corner in the geog room. Finally, we upgraded our space. I must also add that I joined my very first performance after a year, it was the CCA orientation and the CNY celebration.
Here come the memorable part. My first stay in SAC! A stay that brought back many memories every time people mentioned about it. (",) Meanwhile, I went for my 'NE trip' to Little India looking for textiles! haha! It was just like the amazing race. Many groups went out around S'pore to search for the material for our costume! A tiring experience indeed! After that I really know Little India very well liao! ahaha! So my group, which consists of Hong Han, Cui Fen, Siying and e, won the 'race'. A win which everyone celebrated, not just us.
Costume check! Make up check! Hair check! Preparation check! Unity check! 10 April 2001,we were all prepared to go for our first 'battle'. My first performance in such a big place and with so many ears and eyes diverting attention towards you. If you can still recall, I was the first to go up the stage due to the sitting arrangment. Strangely, I was susposed to feel nervous rite? But I didn't feel a little at all. I was really calm and that's probably the only performance that my mind and heart were so peaceful. haha! After our show, I was the first to step down the stage. At that time my instinct had sort of tell me that SACCO would be heartbroken. Before even the results were out, tears were already started to flow. Well, we were heartbroken and leave a deep impression in the people. This began the second part of the journey......
Another batch of seniors graduated and we were given the role to maintain SACCO. It was my first experience in a committee and being a secretary. Well, I was given this role coz someone said I have nice handwriting and recommended. I can't really recall who's that but I wanna say that the minutes I took were eventually typed out nicely. No need to write! hahaha! After that I attended my first ever audition, got into cocamp and performed the most excellent show. This was also a period where we or rather me( if you all don't wanna admit) create a big hoo-ha in SACCO.
Now, I would have to move on to our second time......
Our second preparation for SYF was a really stressful process. By then, we were the eldest and we would like to realise the dreams of many, esp the seniors, and to prove we,the juniors, were capable of turn into dream to reality. This was also a period where I start to multi-task, switching between erhu, gaohu and zhong hu. My god!! Basically which song lack of people then play what instrument. hahaha!
The second syf camp came. That camp was too marvellous as the first. Esp in terms of our standard. haiz, we tried to save the situation and only able to improve by a little. Then, SARS came and postpone of syf. I think that was quite a good thing coz we had more time to brush up.
New costumes check! Elegant hairdo check! Make up check! 11 July 2003, we head for our second 'battle' at the SCH. This time I think I'm more nervous. The seniors had to prepare for lots of things, while going round to tell the juniors relax. Then we had this chant that was created by Hong Han to boost our morale. hahaha! We went up the stage and put up an incredibily marvellous show! It's flawless manz~! The moment we went down stage, we shouted our lungs out and cheered for our wonderful performance! No more tears! Indeed, this time we'd clinched GOLD! Oh my god! That's the happiest day in SACCO manz~! People said we were lucky coz we don't have much competition on that day. Well, I don't think that's all true. We were really up to the standard and deserve it! If we weren't that good then we won't have cheered the moment we went down stage. So don't be a sour grape k! hee! This was really a happy ending for our Story in SACCO.
